The Chinese official came to bid farewell to the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam as he is about to end his term of office in Vietnam.

Speaking at the meeting, on behalf of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam (MPS), Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung congratulated comrade Wang Ben on his success during his term of office in Vietnam.

The host underlined that Vietnam’s MPS highly appreciated positive contributions of comrade Wang Ben to strengthening the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam’s MPS and the Chinese law enforcement agencies in general and the Chinese Ministry of Public Security and the Embassy of China in Vietnam in particular over the past time.

The Vietnamese Deputy Minister affirmed that, thanks to comrade Wang Ben for connecting between the two sides, the cooperation between the two countries’ Ministries of Public Security has witnessed numerous positively developments and achieved many practical and comprehensive results, over the past time.

During his term of office, leaders of the two ministries exchanged a number of high-level visits to each other’s country, while the two countries’ police forces closely coordinated to ensure absolute security and safety for visits of leaders of the two Parties and States, as well as ensure security and safety of diplomatic missions, businesses and citizens of one country living, working in the other country.

In addition, the two ministries closely cooperated in preventing and combating crimes, especially human trafficking, high-tech crime, cyber fraud, online gambling, drug-related crime, tracking and arresting wanted fugitives of one country hiding in the other as well as preventing and controlling illegal entry and exit through the Vietnam - China border.

Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung also noted that the two sides had signed a Governmental-level agreement on crime prevention and control, a State-level agreement on transfer of sentenced persons and several ministerial-level agreements, while effectively implementing cooperation mechanisms between the two countries’ under-ministerial police departments and police departments of provinces and cities, contributing to strengthening mutual trust, solidarity and friendship and enhancing people exchange between the two countries.

Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung suggested that comrade Wang Ben should actively advise the Chinese Public Security Minister Wang Xiaohong and other leaders of the Chinese Public Security Ministry to direct relevant units to closely cooperate with their Vietnamese counterparts in preparing for the two coming bilateral events taking place in China, including a meeting to prepare for the work of ensuring security and safety for high-level visits in November and the 2nd Vietnam – China Deputy-Ministerial Security Dialogue in early December.

The host also proposed that the two ministries continue to support each other in personnel training and capacity-building, focusing on the fields of security guard, cybercrime prevention and control and Chinese language.

Sincerely thanking Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung for the meeting, Representative of the Chinese Ministry of Public Security in Vietnam Wang Ben affirmed that, in his next working position, he will spare no effort to make contributions to strengthening the good friendship between the two Parties and States in general and the two Public Security Ministries in particular in a practical and effective manner.
