A high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security (MPS) led by Deputy Minister Lieutenant General Le Quoc Hung paid a visit to Belarus and participated in the first International Security Industry Exhibition “National Security. Belarus 2022”, at the Belarusian Ministry of Emergency Situations.

Within the framework of the visit of the Vietnamese MPS delegation to Belarus from June 21-25, Deputy Minister had separate meetings with Belarusian Minister of Emergency Situations Vadim Ivanovich, Deputy Secretary of the National Security Council Alexandr Alexandrovich,

Deputy Chairman of the State Security Committee Sergey Sergeyevich, First Deputy Minister of  Emergency Situations Alexandr Phedorovich, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Dmitry Mikhailovich, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee of Judicial Examinations Sergey Alexandrovich.

At the meeting with the Belarusian Minister of Emergency Situations, the Vietnamese deputy minister of public security highly valued the initiative of the Ministry of Emergency Situations on the organization of the first International Security Industry Exhibition “National Security. Belarus 2022”.

The guest highlighted the positive developments in relations and cooperation between the Vietnamese MPS and Belarusian law enforcement agencies, including the Ministry of Emergency Situations, on the basis of the Vietnam-Belarus traditional friendly relationship.

The guest thanked the Ministry of Emergency Situations for training a number of Vietnamese students in firefighting and rescue, providing various scientific documents and sharing valuable experience in drafting curricula, course books and training programs on firefighting and rescue for the Vietnamese side.

He wished that the two sides would continue to exchange experience in preventing, warning and addressing emergency situations.

At the meeting, the two sides agreed to strengthen cooperation in a par with the good relationship between the two countries as well as the potential and strength of the two ministries.

The two officials also agreed to increase exchange of delegations at al levels to share experience in dealing with emergency situations, building a natural disaster and fire early-warning center, as well as to transfer firefighting technology and cooperate in producing modern firefighting and rescue equipment.

The two senior officials committed to accelerating negotiations so as to early sign cooperation deals between the Vietnamese MPS and the Belarusian Ministry of Emergency Situations.

* Later the Vietnamese deputy minister of public security had separate meetings with other senior Belarusian officials. During the meetings, the guests appreciated good sentiment of the Vietnamese people for the Belarusian over the past time, expressed delight at Vietnam’s achievements in socio-economic development, national security and defense as well as positive developments in relations and cooperation between Belarus and Vietnam.

They all said that Belarus attached much importance to developing relations with Vietnam and their agencies wished to expand cooperation with the Vietnamese MPS.

During his stay in Belarus, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung also had a meeting with the staff of the Vietnamese Embassy and Vietnamese nationals in Belarus.
