Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung works with Phu Son 4 Prison

PSNews – Major General Le Quoc Hung, Deputy Minister of Public Security, Head of the Agency on Management of Criminal Judgment Execution, Custody and Temporary Detention under the Ministry of Public Security on June 2 visited and worked with Phu Son 4 Prison.

At the meeting, Lieutenant Colonel Le Dinh Thanh, the Supervisor of Phu Son 4 Prison briefed the Deputy Minister on the situation of the prison as well as difficulties and achievements of the staff in the past time.

Thanks to the good guidance from the Ministry of Public Security and the Department for Management of Prison, Compulsory Re-education Center and Reformatory, and support from the local authority and people, the staff of Phu Son 4 Prison has always successfully fulfilled their assigned political tasks, ensuring the prison’s safety security in all situations.

For these achievements, the unit has been received many noble awards. Remarkably, the unit was twice awarded by the Party and State the title of “Hero of the People's Armed Forces” (in 1985 and 1996).

Speaking at the meeting, on behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung spoke highly of the staff of Phu Son 4 Prison’s achievements over the past time.

Regarding their key tasks in the future, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung urged the unit to roll out working plan for the second half of 2020 and successfully organize the Party Congress.

He also asked the staff to well perform the management and re-education of prisoners while strictly implementing the regulations and processes of detention and re-education.

The unit should also implement the policies towards prisoners while enhancing education and vocational training for inmates.
