Deputy Minister Le Van Tuyen takes working trip to Thua Thien-Hue

A delegation of the Ministry of Public Security, led by Deputy Minister of Public Security Major General Le Van Tuyen, had a working session with the People's Committee of Thua Thien - Hue province on the work of ensuring security and order, management and use of land for security purposes, and the housing and land in Thua Thien - Hue used by the local police, on the afternoon of October 5.

At the meeting, Chairman of the People's Committee of Thua Thien - Hue province Nguyen Van Phuong spoke highly of the results of the work of ensuring public order and security of the provincial police in recent years. 

Regarding facilities for local police units, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that the province had invested 104 billion VND in building 50 police stations in communes and towns, and 80 billion VND in fire equipment.

The Provincial People's Committee had also planned to allocate 15.9 hectares of land to the Provincial Police Department to build a new headquarters.

On behalf of the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security, Major General Le Van Tuyen highly appreciated the effort of the provincial police in ensuring public order and security in recent years. 

He stressed, the Thua Thien - Hue Provincial Police Department had closely followed the direction of the Public Security Central Party Committee, the Ministry of Public Security as well as the Thua Thien - Hue Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People’s Committee while performing the central tasks; as a result, the local police had met all the targets set by the Ministry of Public Security.

Regarding key tasks of the local police in the coming time, Deputy Minister Le Van Tuyen asked the Thua Thien - Hue Provincial Police Department to thoroughly grasp the situation and actively advise the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee to mobilize the entire political systems and people to safeguard national security, ensure public order and traffic safety as well as to prevent and control crime in the province.

Regarding the management and use of land for security purposes, and the housing and land used by the local police in Thua Thien - Hue province, the Deputy Minister suggested that the Provincial People's Committee along with the Ministry of Public Security create favorable conditions and provide more support for the local police forces to build and repair their office buildings.
