At the meeting, the two sides agreed to increase the exchange of delegations at all levels to explore each other’s needs and opportunity for cooperation in the fields of security and law enforcement, as well as to study the possibility of signing a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and the Ministry of Justice of Hungary, strengthen cooperation in building staff capacity, and coordinate in holding seminars and training courses on judicial issues and law enforcement to prevent and combat transnational organized crime.
The two sides also agreed to maintain mutual support at international forums of which the two countries are members, as well as to coordinate and create favorable conditions to properly handle justice-related issues for businesses and citizens of one country to do business, work, study, travel and live in the other.
During the meeting, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang requested Hungarian Deputy Minister of Justice Robert Repassy to urge the Hungarian authorities to arrest and extradite wanted Vietnamese hiding in Hungary to the Vietnamese authorities.
