Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang visits Hanoi Diocese

PSNews - Recently, Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, Deputy Minister of Public Security visited the Headquarters of the Hanoi Roman Catholic Archdiocese and the Evangelical Church of Vietnam (North) on the occasion of the 2021 Christmas.

On behalf of the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang presented flowers and wished Archbishop Joseph Vu Van Thien, other dignitaries, priests and parishioners of the Hanoi Archdiocese a peaceful and merry Christmas season.

According to Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang, Archbishop Joseph Vu Van Thien and dignitaries of the Hanoi Archdiocese have contributed significantly to COVID-19 prevention and control as well as supporting the community to overcome difficulties caused by the pandemic.

The Deputy Minister hoped that all dignitaries of the Hanoi Archdiocese will continue to encourage local Catholics to strengthen the great national unity bloc, follow the Party's guidelines and the State’s policies and laws, and join hands with the local government to overcome the difficult period.

For his part, Archbishop Joseph Vu Van Thien thanked Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang for his visit. He also highly valued the good achievements of the People's Public Security Forces in ensuring national security and social order in 2021.

The Archbishop wished all officers and soldiers of the People's Public Security Forces good health and big successes in performing their tasks in the year of 2022, contributing to maintaining the peaceful and happy life for all Vietnamese people.

Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang presented flowers and extended wishes to Pastor Nguyen Huu Mac, Head of the Evangelical Church of Vietnam (North) and the followers  on the occasion of the 2021 Christmas.

The deputy minister spoke highly of the great contribution of the Evangelical Church of Vietnam (North) to maintaining security and social order over the past time. He hoped that the Evangelical Church of Vietnam (North) will continue participating in the “All people protect national security” movement, joining hands with authorities at all levels to prevent and control the COVID-19 pandemic.

Sincerely thanking Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang for his visit, Pastor Nguyen Huu Mac affirmed that each protestant always actively participates in patriotic movements and the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, contributing to socio-economic development in localities.
