Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long commends police units for arresting dangerous murderer

PSNews - On October 6, 2025, Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Long sent a letter of commendation to the Criminal Police Department, the Forensic Science Institute, the Dong Nai Provincial Police Department, the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department and other relevant police units, praising them for their close coordination in arresting a suspect of killing three members of a family in Dak Nhau commune, Dong Nai province.

On October 2, 2025, a particularly serious crime occurred in Village 6, Dak Nhau commune, where a cold-blood person used a gun to murder three people in the same family and robbed their valuable property, causing widespread public concern and waves of indignation.

Despite limited evidence collected from the scene, the joint investigation team of the Dong Nai Provincial Police Department, the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department, the Criminal Police Department and the Forensic Science Institute managed to identify and apprehend the suspect with lots of exhibits related to the case.

With their strong sense of responsibility, determination and close coordination, the investigation team successfully tracked down and arrested the suspect at 3:30 p.m. on October 5, 2025, more than two days after the murder, and seized the firearm and other key evidence related to the case.

This exceptional achievement reflected the high sense of responsibility and sharp professional expertise of the involved police units, particularly the participating officers, in coordinating to implement the directions on the case of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security.

Their victory has contributed to deterring criminals, ensuring security and social order, and strengthening public trust in the Public Security Forces. It has also been seen as their congratulations on the success of the 8th Congress of the Public Security Central Party Organization.

On behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security’s leadership, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long praised the police units for the victory.

He also requested the Dong Nai Provincial Police Department to promptly complete the documentation and coordinate with relevant judicial authorities to prosecute the suspect in accordance with the law.

The Deputy Minister wished the police units  more success in performing their assigned tasks in the coming time, contributing to reducing the crime rate in the province and building a safe, orderly, and healthy society for national security and the peaceful, happy life of the people.
