Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long commends Thanh Hoa Police for dismantling counterfeit pharmaceutical production network

PSNews - Deputy Minister of Public Security Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Long sent a letter to the Thanh Hoa Provincial Police Department, praising the local police for their outstanding achievement in dismantling a large-scale network producing and selling counterfeit pharmaceuticals, on April 25, 2025.

The content of the letter has been translated to English as follows:

Over the past time, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Police Department took synchronous professional measures to investigate and dismantle a large-scale network producing and selling counterfeit medicines on the market.

The network, using sophisticated methods and tricks, operated nationwide for an extended period.

By now, the police have arrested 14 suspects and seized tens of thousands of boxes of counterfeit medicine, manufacturing machinery, production lines and many other exhibits.

The success in clearing the case demonstrated the sharp professional expertise, strong determination and high sense of responsibility of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Police Force, particularly the Economic Police Division, in implementing directions of the Public Security Central Party Committee and leaders of the Ministry of Public Security on preventing and combating smuggling, commercial fraud, counterfeit goods and organized crime.

The victory also contributed to protecting the rights and health of the people as well as of the legitimate rights and interests of related businesses while contributing to maintaining a healthy business environment in support of socio-economic development, deterring criminals, preventing crime and reinforcing people’s trust in the Public Security Forces.

The Thanh Hoa Police Force’s achievement has further embellished the proud tradition of the People's Public Security Forces and stood as a meaningful contribution to the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification.

On behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long praised the Thanh Hoa Police Force for the victory.

He also requested the police department to closely collaborate with other relevant police units and agencies to expand the investigation of the case and promptly complete the documentation so as to prosecute all those involved in line with the laws.

The Deputy Minister wished the Thanh Hoa Police Force more success in performing their assigned tasks in the coming time.
