At the Vi Xuyen National Martyrs Cemetery, Deputy Minister of Public Security Nguyen Van Long and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Son rang bells and paid tribute to the fallen soldiers.
The fallen heroes in the cemetery are outstanding sons of the nation who fought heroically and died in the fight to protect the northern border of the Fatherland.
At the meeting with local police forces, leaders of the Lao Chai and Xin Chai Communal Police Posts reported to Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Son on the work of ensuring security and order in their designated areas.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long asked local police forces to coordinate closely with other forces, especially the Border Guard, to firmly grasp the situation and resolve any security issues arising while actively and effectively preventing conflicts among local people.
The local police should also focus on building the all-people national defense posture and all-people's security posture in support of economic and social development, and launch anti-crime campaigns before, during and after the Lunar New Year of the Dragon while implementing policies for officers, soldiers and people to ensure that everyone and every home can have sufficient necessities to celebrate a joyful and warm Tet.
