Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long praises Criminal Police Department

PSNews - Deputy Minister of Public Security Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Long sent a letter of commendation to the Criminal Police Department, praising the police department for eliminating a criminal gang illegally manufacturing, trading, transporting and storing weapons, cheating people out of their property, as well as organizing gambling, on December 9th, 2024.

The content of the letter has been translated into English as follows:

Over the past time, with their proactiveness and strong determination, officers of the Criminal Police Department under the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) in coordination with the Representative Office of MPS in Laos, under-ministerial departments and police departments of provinces and centrally-run cities successfully dismantled a professional criminal gang illegally manufacturing, trading, transporting and storing weapons, defrauding people of their money and illegally organizing gambling.

By now, the police have arrested 16 suspects and seized 11 guns, 1,400 bullets and many other exhibits.

The excellent achievement of the Criminal Police Department has demonstrated its officers’ high sense of responsibility and excellent professional expertise while implementing directions of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security on preventing and combating transnational, organized crimes and criminals using weapon and combat gear to commit crime.

The success in clearing the case has also reflected the close and effective coordination among involved under-ministerial police departments and police departments of localities, contributing to deterring criminals, preventing crime and strengthening people’s trust in the Public Security Forces.

On behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long praised the Criminal Police Department for its victory.

The Deputy Minister requested the Criminal Police Department to further coordinate with relevant police units and agencies to expand the investigation of the case and early complete documentation to bring all involved to court in accordance with the laws.

The Deputy Minister wished the Criminal Police Department more success in preventing and combating crime in the coming time.
