Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long praises Thanh Hoa Police Department for dismantling large-scale illicit goods trafficking network

PSNews - Deputy Minister of Public Security Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Long sent a letter of commendation to the Thanh Hoa Provincial Police Department, praising the local police for dismantling a large-scale criminal network manufacturing and selling illicit goods, on May 31, 2025.

The content of the letter has been translated into English as follows:

Over the past time, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Police Department took synchronous professional measures to investigate and dismantle a sophisticated criminal network producing and selling a large number of illicit goods.

The police have arrested 16 suspects and seized 3 systems of machinery and production lines for extracting nitrous oxide (N2O), 180 tons of raw materials, 7.3 tons of finished N2O gas and numerous other exhibits.

The success in clearing the case demonstrated the sharp professional expertise, strong determination and high sense of responsibility of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Police Force, particularly the Counter-Narcotics Police Division, while implementing directions of the Public Security Central Party Committee and leaders of the Ministry of Public Security on  preventing and combating organized crimes, especially illicit goods production and trafficking.

The victory also contributed to cutting off the supply of harmful substances that endanger public health, as well as to deterring criminals and preventing crime while reinforcing people’s trust in the Public Security Forces.

On behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long praised the Thanh Hoa Police Force for the victory.

He also requested the police department to closely collaborate with other relevant police units and agencies to expand the investigation of the case and promptly complete the documentation so as to prosecute all those involved in line with the laws.

The Deputy Minister wished the Thanh Hoa Police Force more success in performing their assigned tasks in the coming time.
