Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long praises Tuyen Quang Police Force for dismantling transnational criminal network -0

By now, the police have arrested 205 suspects and seized 10 computers, 25 mobile phones, along with numerous documents and exhibits related to the case.

Investigation results determined that the suspects, who were staying abroad, impersonated domestic functional authorities to instruct citizens to carry out online public services related to insurance, household registration, taxation and the like, thereby taking control of victims’ mobile phones and fraudulently taking more than 500 billion VND from thousands of people.

This outstanding achievement demonstrates the high determination, strong sense of responsibility and sharp professional expertise of the Tuyen Quang Police Force in implementing the directions of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security on drastically combating and controlling crime, particularly organized crime, hi-tech crime and transnational crime, to ensure security and order for the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the 2026 Lunar New Year.

The successful clearance of the case reflected the effective collaboration between under-ministerial and provincial-level police departments, contributing to deterring and preventing crime and strengthening public trust in the Public Security Forces.

On behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long acknowledged and commended the involved units and officers on their accomplishment.

The Deputy Minister requested the Tuyen Quang Provincial Police Department to promptly expand the investigation, complete related documents and evidence as well as legal procedures to prosecute all suspects in accordance with the law.

He also requested strengthening public warnings about criminal methods and tricks so as to raise people’s vigilance against this type of crime.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long wished the Tuyen Quang Police Force to achieve more success at work in the coming time.
