Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Minister of Public Security visited and had a meeting with the Chi Hoa Detention Center, under the Ho Chi Minh Municipal Police on March 30.

At the meeting, Colonel Tran Van Thom, Warden of Chi Hoa Detention Center stated that, in the recent times, the leadership fully popularized new directives of the Ministry of Public Security as well as legal documents regarding the management of detention, especially the Law on Execution of Custody and Temporary Detention, to its subordinate officers and soldiers. 

At the same time, the unit’s leadership also gave orientations to  all officers and soldiers to improve their understanding  of the crime of each detainee so as to put on the alert and firmly protect the detention facility.

Addressing the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son recognized and praised all efforts and outcomes of the staff of the Chi Hoa Detention Center over the past years.  

Deputy Minister Son hoped that with their highest sense of responsibility and the trust in the Party, the State, leadership of Ministry of Public Security, the Chi Hoa Detention Center’s staff will overcome challenges to fulfill all assignments.

Additionally, he also instructed the Ho Chi Minh Municipal Police to actively mobilize budget sources to ease difficulties in detention management of Chi Hoa and Bo La Detention Centers as well as lower-level detention houses.
