Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son works with Long Hoa Prison

PSNews - He took the chance to listen and talk with prisoners, demanding that they do well their sentences and seriously observe the prison’s regulations to soon return to their families and relatives.

Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son - Deputy Minister of Public Security led a delegation to work with the Long Hoa Prison’s staff under General Department 8, in Ben Luc district, Long An.

On this occasion, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son met and enquired after officers and soldiers at the Long Hoa Prison.

He also directly inspected the operation of various sections of the prison, including detention section, canteen, learning zone, working zone of prisoners, as well as section to detain foreign offenders during the time of completing the deportation procedures.

He took the chance to listen and talk with prisoners, demanding that they do well their sentences and seriously observe the prison’s regulations to soon return to their families and relatives.

Senior Colonel Nguyen Nhat Anh, Chief Warden at the Long Hoa Prison briefed the Deputy Minister and the delegation on results of the prison’s staff’s task performance since the beginning of 2017 and its plans for Q2-Q3.

Established in 2015, although facing many difficulties, leaders, officers and soldiers at the Long Hoa Prison thoroughly grasped and well deployed directions from General Department 8. 

On behalf of the Central Public Security Party Committee and leaders of the Public Security Ministry, Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son applauded the achievements made by the staff of the Long Hoa Prison, saying that they have made special effort to stabilize the organization of the prison in a relatively short time.

Mr. Son noted that the staff should take due care of prisoners while applying suitable methods to managing the prison and re-educating prisoners, especially juveniles.

Leaders of the prison should draw up specific plans with targets for their work; actively consider scenarios to successfully handle any arising situations; and promote collaboration with local authorities, forces and people.
