A delegation of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) led by Deputy Minister, Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son visited and worked with the Provincial Police Department of Nghe An on November 17.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son applauded the efforts and achievements gained by the provincial police over the past time, particularly in crime prevention and fighting.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son also praised the provincial police for their participation in disaster response and relief in the neighboring province of Ha Tinh during the recent storms and floods.

He urged the provincial police forces to strengthen their efforts in crime prevention and fighting to ensure public order and security before during and after the upcoming 13th Party National Congress and the Traditional Lunar New Year Festival.

On this occasion, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son, on behalf of the leadership of the MPS, presented VND 50 million to the provincial police, VND 20 million to the Traffic Police Office and another VND 20 million to the Fire Prevention and Fighting Office. He awarded certificates of merit to 2 teams and 5 officers with outstanding achievements in implementing their tasks.

On the same day, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son and his entourage visited and presented VND 90 million to officers and soldiers at the Hung Nguyen District Police Station, and to the Party Committee, authorities and the communal police post of Hung Trung commune, one of the most severely affected localities in the Hung Nguyen district by the floods.
