Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son works with Thanh Ha prisoner education center

PSNews-Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Minister of Public Security led a delegation of the Ministry of public Security (MPS) to work with the Thanh Ha Compulsory Education Center for Prisoners, located in Binh Xuyen District, Vinh Phuc.

Colonel Dao Huu Dong, Director of the Center briefed the MPS delegation on all aspect of the center’s task performance. With its core tasks of managing and providing vocational training courses for administrative offenders and prisoners, the center’s staff strictly observed the provisions of the law on management, education and implementation of policies towards inmates while successfully fulfilling the plans on ensuring security and safety of the center, and denying any situational surprises.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son showed his empathy with the difficulties faced by the Thanh Ha Center, praising their efforts and sense of responsibilities of the center’s officials and soldiers. He also gave instructions to the center, helping them gradually overcome the obstacles and excellently accomplish their assigned tasks.

The Deputy Minister asked the General Department 8, under the MPS, to map out action plans to deploy officers with a good command of ethnic minorities’ languages to work at compulsory education facilities to deal with ethnic minorities inmates.

He also asked the Ha Thanh Center to continue to promote effective vocational training models in collaboration with other organizations and enterprises to bring more benefits, gradually raise the material and cultural lives of the center’s staff as well as of inmates. The Deputy Minister also required the center to take advantage of all support and assistance from agencies, localities, organizations and businesses, and maintain close collaboration with other armed forces and local authorities to ensure security and order, while getting ready to respond to any possible unexpected situations.
