Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son works with various police units

A working delegation of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) led by Lieutenant General, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son on January 28 visited and checked operation of the Department of Telecommunications and Cipher, Provincial Police of Hoa Binh and the Traffic Police Division 10 under the Municipal Police of Hanoi.

At a meeting between the MPS delegation and Hoa Binh Police, Senior Colonel Pham Hong Tuyen, Director of the Provincial Police Department, briefed the delegates on outcomes of the local police force’s security and order work in 2018 as well as its plan to suppress crimes and ensure security during the upcoming Lunar New Year Festival (Tet). 

Over the past year, the provincial police force has mobilized people to give up 35 homemade guns and 18 bullets to the authorities. The provincial traffic police promoted patrols and detected and handled 835 law violations, took 242 vehicles into police custody and withdrew 71 driving licenses.

Speaking at the working session, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son praised the efforts and achievements by the provincial police of Hoa Binh and asked them to strictly follow the directions of the MPS and local Party committees on dealing with social order and security issues; draft out good plans to ensure security and order in the time to come, particularly during this Tet and spring events and festivals. 

After the working session with the provincial police, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son visited and presented gifts to the staff of the provincial police’s prison.

On the same day, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son and his working delegation also visited and worked with Traffic Police Division 10 under the Municipal Police Department of Hanoi and the Signaling Division under the Department of Telecommunications and Cipher.
