Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh attends conference on fire prevention and fighting

The University of Fire Prevention and Fighting Police held a conference themed “Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue in Vietnam in Industry 4.0 and Response to Climate Change” on November 19 in Hanoi.

Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Deputy Minister of Public Security, chaired the conference.

Delegates at the conference discussed and shed light on characteristics as well as opportunities, challenges and impacts of the 4th industrial revolution and climate change on fire prevention and fighting and rescue in Vietnam. They also analysed the application of technology in the work of fire prevention, fighting and rescue, and clarified the responsibility of the fire police for responding to climate change in Vietnam.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh stressed the need for such a seminar and highly valued scientific reports presented during the meeting.

He also asked the Fire Police Force to seriously follow and effectively implement all guidance and directions of the Party, State and the Ministry of Public Security on this field while proposing the higher levels to complete the legal framework on fire prevention and fighting and rescue in the context of the 4th industrial revolution and climate change.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh also asked the Fire Police Force to focus on training and research activities and promote application of technology in the fire prevention and rescue and rescue work.
