Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh pays tribute to martyrs in Tay Ninh

PSNews – Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Deputy Minister of Public Security (MPS) led a delegation of the Ministry of Public Security on April 26 to offer incense and flowery wreaths at martyrs' cemeteries in Tay Ninh province. 

On the 43rd anniversary of the Liberation of the South and Reunification of the Country (30 April 1975 – 30 April 2018), Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh and delegation visited and offered incense and wreaths at the Hill No.82 National Cemetery and the Cemetery of the Security Division of the former South Central Department.

The delegation also included leaders of general departments under the MPS and public security units in Southern provinces as well as leaders of Tay Ninh province.

At the Hill No.82 National Cemetery, the delegation offered incense and laid flowery wreaths at the Victory Stone in commemoration of over 14,000 public security officers who laid down their lives for national independence and the Fatherland’s unification. 

The delegation also visited the statues of Uncle Ho, the late Chairman of the Ministerial Council Pham Hung as well as the Historical and Cultural Relic of the  Security Division of the South Central Department.

They also visited the working places of former leaders of the Security Division. This historical site, the former revolutionary base during the resistance war against American invaders, has become pride of the public security forces.
