Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh receives Belgian Ambassador to Vietnam

PSNews – Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Deputy Minister of Public Security, received Ms. Jahanne Roccas, Ambassador of Belgium to Vietnam.

At the meeting, Deputy Minister Thanh said, in the past 44 years (1973-2017), the cooperation and friendship between Vietnam and Belgium have been continuously promoted in all respects, including politics, diplomacy, economics, trade and culture.

Additionally, the cooperation between the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) of Vietnam and law enforcement agencies of Belgium has been deepened and achieved various fine outcomes.

On the basis of the fine relationship, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh hoped that an agreement on cooperation in crime prevention and fight between the MPS of Vietnam and the Federal Police of Belgium would be signed soon.

The MPS of Vietnam and law enforcement agencies of Belgium should continue to exchange information on prevention and fight against crimes, including organized and transnational crimes, high-tech crimes, he suggested.

Ambassador Roccas highly spoke of the fine relationship and cooperation between the two countries as well as effective mutual support in the international arena. She congratulated Vietnam in general and the MPS in particular on the achievements in the past time.

She also affirmed that she would do her best to cultivate the fine relations between the two countries, between the MPS of Vietnam and law enforcement agencies of Belgium, contributing to ensuring national security of each country and for mutual benefits of the two peoples.
