Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh visits An Giang

PSNews – A delegation of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS), led by Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, and Deputy Minister of Public Security, on September 5 visited and worked with various police units in An Giang.

Visiting and working with Dinh Thanh Prison, Deputy Minister Thanh highly appreciated the efforts and achievements of the leadership and staff of the unit over the past time.

He also urged them to promote the management, improve the efficiency of re-education and rehabilitation of prisoners and enhance connections with the local authorities.

At the working session with the police of Thoai Son district, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh asked the district police to promote political security as well as social security and order and safety in the district; effectively prevent and fight crimes, particularly organized crimes, criminal gangs, drug-related and hi-tech crimes.

In the afternoon of the same day, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh, Head of the Inspection Team of the Central Emulation and Reward Council, worked with the Emulation and Reward Council of An Giang province.

The working session saw the presence of Mr. Pham Huy Giang, Vice Head of the Central Emulation and Reward Council.

On behalf of the Central Emulation and Reward Council, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh applauded the achievements gained by An Giang in terms of emulation and reward work.

He also asked the Emulation and Reward Council of An Giang to increase leadership in this work, popularize emulation movements to all people in a practical and effective manner, and duplicate exemplary models and good citizens with good deeds.
