Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh works with An Giang police

PSNews - Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security, led a delegation of the Ministry of Public Security to pay a working visit to the An Giang Provincial Police Department on October 26.

The delegation focused on assessing results of the local police’s implementation of Resolution No. 07 of the Public Security Central Party Committee and Youth Police Development Program in the period of 2013 – 2020.

At the meeting, An Giang police representatives briefed the deputy minister and delegates on the results of 10-year implementation of Resolution No.7 and the Youth Police Development Program, saying that the provincial police youth has launched a large number of social activities, and made great achievements in these social programs over the past 10 years.

Noticeable social programs included supporting and educating local spoilt juveniles, providing food for people in need, mobilizing young people to participate in protecting local security.

These social activities have promoted the spirit of voluntarism and creativity among all young police officers in An Giang, contributing to strengthening Youth Union chapters of local police units and spreading youth movements.

Speaking at the meeting, the Deputy Minister asked the An Giang police leadership to pay due attention to young officers as well as youth movements and social activities, saying that this will contribute positively to its force building as well as local socio-economic development.

The provincial police should also immediately praise young officers for their good achievements in youth movements and in fighting crimes at the grassroots level. In addition, the An Giang police should focus on fostering good young officers.

On this occasion, Senior Colonel Dinh Van Noi, Director of the An Giang Provincial Police Department presented VND 1 billion donated by provincial police officers to support the natural disaster victims in the Central region.
