Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security, on July 10 worked with the Department for Information and Communications (DIC) under the Ministry of Public Security (MPS).

Lieutenant General Mai Van Ha, Director of the DIC, briefed the Deputy Minister on the key tasks of the Department from now to August 19.

These include the organization of Party congresses of the Public Security Newspaper, Public Security Publishing House and Public Security Television, the Party Congress of the DIC, the 5th Congress of the Public Security Journalists’ Association, a MPS conference to review the emulation movement “For National Security” in the period of 2015 – 2020 as well as activities to celebrate 73rd Day of War Invalids and Martyrs and activities to mark the 75th founding anniversary of the People’s Public Security Forces.

Regarding the DIC working plans for the remaining months of 2020, Lieutenant General Mai Van Ha said that the Department will complete the scheme to reorganize the Public Security Forces’ press and media sector, the project to invest and develop the E-Public Security Newspaper, and the project to invest in the Public Security Television.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh applauded the Party Committee and leadership of the Department for their efforts to overcome all difficulties and fulfill all given tasks in the past 6 months.

The Deputy Minister also gave comments and ideas to the working program of the Department, urged the Party Committee and leadership of the DIC to well perform the key tasks from now until August 19 and in the remaining months of 2020.
