Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh works with Inspectorate

Senior-Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Deputy Minister of Public Security (MPS), on February 7 had a meeting with Inspectorate under the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) to discuss the inspection work in the coming time.

At the meeting, Major General Tran Duc Tuan, Chief Inspector briefed Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh on the agency’s working results from the beginning of 2020 and its key tasks in the coming time.

The report read, the Inspectorate provided effective support and good service for the leaders of the MPS while they had periodic meetings with citizens. 

The agency also assisted the Minister in issuing the Decision to consolidate the Steering Committee for anti-corruption, anti-waste and thrift practice in the Public Security Forces and the Decision regulating the organization and operation of the Steering Committee for anti-corruption, anti-waste and thrift practice in the People's Public Security Forces.

In the coming time, the Inspectorate will organize a training course on inspection work in the People's Public Security Forces in 2020, prepare contents for the year-end meeting of the Steering Committee for anti-corruption, anti-waste and thrift practice , and coordinate with the relevant agencies in drafting documents to guide the public security agencies and units at all levels in the implementation of inspection activities.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh appreciated the efforts of all officers of the Inspectorate.

He also asked the leaders of the Inspectorate to review and define specific responsibilities and assign tasks to every inspector as well as to define  conditions for inspections, set up the schedule and deadline for every inspection. 

The conclusions of inspections must be made in accordance with the laws, pointing out wrongdoings and responsibilities of the organizations or individuals.

The deputy minister also stressed that the Inspectorate should closely monitor periodic meetings of leaders of police units at all levels with citizens as this is the key to solving problems from the grassroots level.
