Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh works with Khanh Hoa Fire Police

PSNews-Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Van Thanh, Member of Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security led a delegation to work with Khanh Hoa Fire Police Force.

Since the foundation of the Fire Police Office (November 15, 2015), Khanh Hoa has experienced 128 fire incidents resulting in 1 dead, 2 injured and a VND 9.2 billion loss of property, reported Senior Colonel Nguyen Duc Quynh, Director of the Khanh Hoa Fire Police.

In spite of a shortage of fire staff and control equipment, the Khanh Hoa Fire Police made every effort to overcome difficulties and managed to rescue in 11 cases on time, and saved 4 people. The force also proactively promoted fire prevention and minimized the number of fire incidents in the province.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh praises endeavours of the Khanh Hoa Fire Police to overcome obstacles and fulfill their missions, successfully protecting people and properties and making contributions to the socio-economic development of Khanh Hoa.

At the working session, the Deputy Minister urged the Fire Office to proactively apply professional methods to fire fighting, to focus on training fire fighting tactics, techniques and skills for its officers and soldiers to enhance fire prevention and control, especially in industrial zones, trade centers and tall buildings. The Office was also instructed to well play its role in advising the Provincial Party Committee and People’s Committee to direct and promote state management of fire control and fighting.
