Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh works with Son La Provincial Police

PSNews-To implement the working program of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics (HCMA) and the Ministry of Public Security (MPS), Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Deputy Minister of Public Security worked with the Son La Provincial Party Committee on May 27.

The Deputy Minister and his working delegation visited and inspected the security and order maintenance work of the Son La Provincial Police in the first 6 months of 2017.

Deputy Minister Thanh recognized and praised the provincial police of Son La on their achievements in Party building and force building.

Implementing the action slogan “Innovative, proactive and attached to grassroots levels, disciplined, responsible and efficient" and three key tasks and breakthroughs; the Son La Provincial Police has been active in thoroughly grasping the situation, giving advice and proposals to local authorities and well rolling out all aspects of professional work with a focus on maintaining sustainable security and order at the grassroots level.

The Provincial Police has managed to maintain local security and order, avoid being surprised by the situation and successfully investigated 98% of the cases. The cooperation between the Provincial Police and other forces was accelerated. Meanwhile, the local police force enhanced Party building and force building.

The Deputy Minister urged the Provincial Police to seriously implement police missions, proactively advise the MPS and province’s leadership to issue appropriate policies on protecting national security and social order, Party building and force building; grasp thoroughly the situation; and tackle arising issues on time and effectively, denying any emergence of new complex security issues. 

Deputy Minister Thanh also asked the Son La Police to promote internal political protection within the force; prevent degradation of political ideology, morals and lifestyles; prevent "self-evolving" and "self-transformation" in the force; and strive to achieve the set targets for the year of 2017.

On this occasion, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son donated the Son La Police 5 sets of computers.
