Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To attends conference to review task performance of MPS Office in H1

PSNews - The Office of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) held a conference on June 28 to review its task performances the first half of 2021 (H1) and roll out working plans for the second half.

The event was held in the videoconferencing form connecting Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. It was chaired by Lieutenant General To An Xo, Chief of the Office and also attended by Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security.

According to reports at the event, in H1, the MPS Office coordinated with relevant units to draft documents for MPS leaders to attend meetings of the Party Central Committee, the National Assembly, and the Government. 

It also organized many important conferences of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the MPS. Furthermore, the office actively advised the MPS leadership on measures to prevent and control the COVID-19 epidemic in public security agencies and units in accordance with their functions and tasks, contributing to the national effort to realize the "dual goal" set by the Party and the Government.

The Office also advised the leadership of the MPS to direct public security agencies and units to ensure security and safety for important political and social events in the country as well as for the 13th Party Congress and the elections of the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels.

Speaking at the conference, on behalf of the MPS leadership, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To recognized and praised the achievements made by all staff and leaders of the MPS Office over the past time.

He showed his consensus on the office’s working plan for the second half of 2021, stressing that the office should seriously study and implement contents of the Resolutions of the 13th National Party Congress and the 7th Public Security Party Congress.

As the think-tank of the MPS, the office should give more advice on the building of e-Government model and the digital transformation across the Public Security Forces. 

It should accelerate the installation of the system of sending and receiving electronic documents among under-ministerial agencies and provincial-level police departments as well as the provision of online public services on the MPS Public Service Portal, the MPS leader asked.

On this occasion, under the authority of the Party and State, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To awarded the Third-class Labor Order to the Office of the Ministry of Public Security, the Third-class Feat of Arms Order to a sub-unit and two outstanding officers. Two officers with excellent achievements were also awarded Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister at the event.
