Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public SecuritySenior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To, leading a high-ranking delegation of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam, to paid a courtesy visit to Member of the Politburo, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Security of Laos General Vilay Lakhamphon, on the morning of April 11, in Vientiane, Laos.

At the meeting, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To informed Lao Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Security Vilay Lakhamphon of the results of the meeting on the morning of the same day between the delegation of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and Deputy Minister Vanthoong Kongmani. 

Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To also suggested various approaches to strengthening cooperation between the two ministries in the field of personnel training, improving the quality of training for Lao students studying at Vietnamese public security schools, and shared some experience in reforming the administrative apparatus of the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security.

Thanking Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To and the high-ranking delegation of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam for their courtesy call, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Security of Laos Vilay Lakhamphon affirmed that the Lao Ministry of Public Security will actively implement the goals set out in the 2023 cooperation plan of the two ministries.

The host also believed that the comprehensive cooperation between the Public Security Forces of the two countries will be expanded and deepened, and have  positive results in the coming time.

Also at the meeting, on the occasion of the 62nd Anniversary of the establishment of the Lao People's Public Security Forces (April 5, 1961 - April 5, 2023) and the Bun Pi May Traditional New Year, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To passed the “Happy New Year” wish from Minister To Lam to Lao Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Security Vilay Lakhamphon and all officers and soldiers of the Lao People's Public Security Forces.
