Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To, leading a delegation of the Ministry of Public Security, paid a working visit to Ninh Khanh Detention Center in Hoa Lu district, Ninh Binh province, on January 14, 2023.

The delegation included Deputy Director of the Police Department of Prisons, Compulsory Education Centers and Reformatories Major General Nguyen Viet Hung, Deputy Chief of the Office of the Ministry of Public Security Senior Colonel Mai Xuan Thao, and other high-ranking officers.

At the meeting, Deputy Superintendent of Ninh Khanh Prison Colonel Khuong Van Cat, reported on the situation in the prison in 2022, saying that the prison staff seriously implemented the instructions of the Ministry of Public Security and the Police Department of Prisons, Compulsory Education Centers and Reformatories on the work of managing and re-educating inmates.

They also strengthen coordination and cooperation with local Party committees, authorities, agencies, social organizations and people so as to receive much support from them. 

Particularly, the prison staff coordinated with relevant units to effectively provide vocational training and issue vocational certificates for inmates as well as provided jobs for inmates inside and outside the prison in accordance with the law.

Speaking at the meeting, on behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To praised the staff of Ninh Khanh Prison for their good work results in the past time.

The Deputy Minister emphasized that police officers at Ninh Khanh Prison should pay due attention to maintaining security and order at the prison during the 2023 Lunar New Year of the year, always stay on the alert, seriously maintain on-duty forces, draw up plans for possible scenarios and organize a warm Tet for the staff as well as inmates.

On the occasion of the 2023 Lunar New Year, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To sent New Year wishes to the Party Committee, Board of Superintendents and all officers and soldiers at Ninh Khanh Prison and their families.
