Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To, Deputy Minister of Public Security, on July 9 worked with the Department of Education and Training under the Ministry of Public Security.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To recognized and appreciated the efforts and achievements gained by the department in recent times, saying that it made important contributions to the development of the Public Security Forces as well as protection of national security and social order in the past time.

The deputy minister also gave the department directions for its tasks in the time to come.

Leaders of the department and its sub-units briefed the deputy minister on various education and training activities in the Public Security Forces over the past time.

Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To asked the department to promote its role as a advisor on education and training to the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security,  and propose a strategy on the development of education and training in the Public Security Forces.

The deputy minister also requested the department to draw up specific roadmaps and tasks to realize the goal of building revolutionary, regular, elite and modern Public Security Forces by 2030 in line with the Resolution of the 13th Party Congress and the Resolution of the 7th Public Security Party Congress.

The department should also analyze its shortcomings and seek ways to overcome difficulties, further augment the quality of education and training of public security officers, meeting the working requirements of agencies and units. 

The deputy minister also asked the department’s leadership to strictly follow the directions of the Party Central Committee and the Public Security Central Party Committee on education and training. In the near future, they should concentrate on the implementation of Scheme 04 issued on May 21, 2021 by the Ministry of Public Security on renovating enrollment work in public security schools in the period of 2022-2025.
