Major General Tran Quoc To, Deputy Minister of Public Security, leading a delegation of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS), visited and worked with the Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) Police Department on September 23.

The meeting, representatives of the HCMC Police Department briefed the delegates on the its working results, stating that, over the past time, the HCMC police has maintained security, social order and safety as well as completed the project on posting professional police officers to local communes.

The HCMC police also actively researched and applied new technologies to work, contributing to improving the effectiveness of crime control and administrative procedure reform. Notably, the HCMC police launched the Command and Information Center equipped with modern technology and machinery.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To praised the HCMC police for their achievements in performing their assigned tasks such as staff work, scientific research, and “All people protect national security” movement.

In the coming time, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To requested the HCMC policeto continuefollowing the guidelines of the Party, State, and MPS in maintaining security, social order and safety, and crime control.

He also asked the HCMC police tofocus on scientific research to serve effectively the police work.
