The survey team of the Central Steering Committee summarizing Resolution No. 27-NQ/TW worked with the Standing Board of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee on the afternoon of October 18, in Thai Nguyen, reviewing the results of the implementation of Resolution No. 27. -NQ/TW issued August 6, 2008, by the 10th Party Central Committee on building a contingent of intellectuals in the period of industrialization and modernization of the country (Resolution No. 27).

The survey team was led by member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To.

Reports at the meeting clearly stated that, after 15 years of implementing Resolution No. 27, local Party committees, Party organizations, authorities, agencies and units have all been aware of the position of intellectuals. 

The contents of Resolution No. 27 have were then gradually concretized by the local leadership and authority into mechanisms and policies with the aim of creating favorable conditions for intellectuals to work. 

As a result, local intellectuals devoted their talent, creativity and energy to the cause of national construction and defence while they also had more opportunities to improve themselves, meeting the task requirements in the current situation.

At the working session, the delegates focused on discussing the achieved results of the province in developing the corps of local intellectuals as well as solutions to unsolved issues. 

Concluding the meeting, Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To appreciated the effort of the Standing Board of Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee and provincial authorities in providing favorable conditions for local intellectuals to develop. 

Regarding major tasks for the province in the coming time, Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To suggested that the local Party leadership and authority overcome difficulties, early resolve the limitations, and successfully realize Resolution No. 27, and Conclusion No. 52 of the Party Central Committee.
