Deputy PM praises Quang Binh’s functional forces on destroying major drug case

Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh, Chairman of the Steering Committee 389, sent a letter praising functional forces of Quang Binh who successfully stamped out a major drug-trafficking case, arresting 2 foreigners for illegally trafficking over 300,000 pills of synthetic drugs from Laos into Vietnam across the border section in Quang Binh.

In his letter, the Deputy PM writes, he highly valued the efforts of the provincial Border Guard Command of Quang Binh, the provincial Customs Department and provincial Police Department, which  successfully investigated specialized case QB1121, dismantling a large drug trafficking ring operating in various areas in Vietnam and Laos.

The Vietnamese forces arrested 2 foreigners for illegally trafficking 304,000 synthetic drug pills from Laos to Vietnam across the border section in Quang Binh province.

The Permanent Deputy PM recognized and praised the excellent achievements of officers and soldiers of the provincial border guard, customs and police forces, contributing to the fight against smuggling, commercial fraud, trading counterfeit goods and drug trafficking in the new situation while maintaining political security, social order and safety, bringing peace and happiness to the people.

The Permanent Deputy PM also asked officers and soldiers of the Quang Binh provincial border guard, customs and police forces to continue to grasp the situation, strengthen their coordination and take more preventive measures, promptly detect and effectively neutralize any organizations and individuals conducting acts of drug trafficking, smuggling, commercial fraud and trading counterfeit goods.

Earlier on November 21, functional forces of Quang Binh had detected and arrested two foreigners for trafficking drugs into Vietnam.
