DIC of Public Security holds seminar on improving political stance of youths

PSNews – The Youth Union Chapter of the Public Security Department for Information and Communications on March 15 in coordination with People’s Police College 2 held a seminar on “Improving the political and ideological stance and promoting the role of public security youths in information dissemination”.

The seminar saw the presence of Major General Vu Duc Khien, Rector of People’s Police College 2 and Senior Colonel Tran Kim Tham, Vice Director of the Department for Information and Communications.

Participants of the seminar listen to presentations on various good ways to comprehend political thoughts of youths as well as on difficulties in conducting ideological and political dissemination and education for youths. Additionally, delegates discussed methods to identify conspiracies and tricks of hostile forces triggering internal disputes, “self-evolution” and “self-transformation” and “peaceful evolution” among youths.

They also shared experience in dealing with various issues in youth work, improving abilities of cadres in editing and writing articles for intramural magazines, information board and radio programs of youth organizations so as to defeat distorted and wrong allegations of hostile forces.

Speaking at the seminar, Senior Colonel Tran Kim Tham stressed that hostile forces recently took chance of the U.S-DPRK Summit in Vietnam to distort the policies of the Party and the laws of the State. They also spoke ill of the police in  the girl-murder case in Dien Bien Province, which negatively affected the prestige of the local police.

Senior Colonel Tran Kim Tham also revealed, against this backdrop, the Public Security Newspaper promptly sent a team of reporters to the locality, found the truth of the murder via the local police, witnesses and the victim’s relatives, and published articles with true information about the case, fighting the distorted information of hostile forces.

Major General Vu Duc Khien urged all youths of the Public Security Forces to consolidate their ideological and political stance against the “peaceful evolution” strategy of hostile forces; enhance the movement “Following the moral example of Uncle Ho.” He also stressed the importance of grasping thoughts of youths in the Public Security Forces so as to correct any inappropriate views.
