Director of G.D 8 inspects Dak P’lao Prison

PSNews-A delegation of the General Department of Police for Criminal Verdict Execution and Judicial Assistance (G.D 8) under the MPS headed by Lieu. Gen. Nguyen Ngoc Bang, Head of the G.D 8, paid a working visit to Dak P’lao Prison, stationed in two communes of Dak Som and Dak P'lao, Dak Glong district, Dak Nong province.

As reported by Senior Colonel Nguyen Xuan Truong –Warden of Dak P’lao Prison, the detention unit was founded on June 17, 2014 and experienced various difficulties and challenges on the first days.

Thanks to the investment in earmarked by MPS leaders and close cooperation of the local authorities, sectors, agencies and armed forces over the past years, the prison’s officers and cadres of generations have overcome all difficulties, strictly observed all regulations while running the prison, maintaining security and order at the prison as well as  correcting and rehabilitating inmates.

At the working session, Lieutenant General Nguyen Ngoc Bang acknowledged and praised the achievements attained by all correction officers of Dak P’lao Prison in the past time.

He also stressed that the unit should boost Party building, and police force building, in which they should attach importance to political education and the management of its staff’s thoughts. Leaders, of all levels in the unit must set example for junior officers and soldiers in every aspect.

The unit’s command should also regularly supervise and check the staff’s compliance of regulations and rules on working processes and professional   consultations. The Director also urged the unit to strengthen coordination with the local forces in ensuring security, order and safety of the detention facilities; well perform professional works, actively grasp developments in prisoners' thoughts, renovate the form and content of and improve the quality and efficiency of education and rehabilitation of prisoners.
