Drill to celebrate 70th Anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory held

PSNews - The Central Steering Committee for the Commemoration of Major Holidays and Important Historical Events in the 2023 – 2025 period organized a rehearsal of the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory on the morning of May 3rd, in Dien Bien.

Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communication and Education and Deputy Head of the Central Steering Committee for the Commemoration of Major Holidays and Important Historical Events in the 2023 – 2025 period Nguyen Trong Nghia chaired the rehearsal.

The rehearsal consisted of 7 stages, namely flag-raising ceremony, drum performance, art program, medals and awards announcement and grand parade with the participation of more than 12,000 people.

Helicopter squadron flies over Dien Bien stadium.

The rehearsal of the flag-raising ceremony saw a squadron of 10 helicopters with the national flag and the Party flag flying over the Dien Bien stadium. Meanwhile, the artillery team (located at the Dien Bien Phu Victory Museum) simultaneously fired 21 salvos of cannons on the background of the national anthem.

Art performances take place at the celebration.

Beginning the parade drill, the columns of different forces marched past the honorable stand, then went along main streets of Dien Bien Phu city in three directions.

After the celebration rehearsal, the Steering Committee organized a meeting to review the performance of participating forces and discuss solutions to remaining issues.

The Steering Committee’s members highly appreciated the great effort of all forces participating in the event, and agreed to adjust several contents of presentations and speeches as well as sought to improve the collaboration among participating forces during the parade.
