Emulation Grouping 2 reviews “For Fatherland’s Security” movement

PSNews –Emulation Grouping 2 under the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) on recently organized a conference to review the movement of “For Fatherland’s Security” in the first 6 months of 2018.

Emulation Grouping 2 includes the Provincial-level Police Departments of the 7 Northern mountainous provinces of Son La, Lao Cai, Cao Bang, Dien Bien, Lai Chau, Ha Giang and Lang Son.

The of the meeting was also attended by Mr. Pham Van Thuy, Vice Chairman of the Son La Provincial People’s Committee as well as leaders of the 7 Provincial Police Departments and relevant units.

In the first half of 2018, the movement of “For Fatherland’s Security” received special attention from the leaders of the Provincial Police Departments. Local units continuously innovated methods of spreading the movement, and achieved all set objectives; as a result, the political security situation in the 7 provinces was well maintained without unexpected incidents or negative surprises.

In terms of crime control and state management of security and order, the rate of the successful investigations was high while the movement of “All people protecting national security” was promoted and gained various fine outcomes.

Meanwhile, local units also enhanced Party building and force building, strictly observed discipline, and heightened the sense of responsibility and devotedness to the people while the number of officers and soldiers with their wrongdoings declined compared with 2017.

Additionally, they ensured logistic supplies and technical work for tasks, stepped up administrative reforms, and conducted charitable activities to promote the image of the police force.

During the first half of the year, the police units of the 7 provinces investigated 1,496 criminal cases and arrested 2,823 persons involved in as well as seized 1,875 persons involved in 1,333 drug-related cases, 530 kg of heroin, more than 86 kg of opium, over 1,000 pills of synthetic drugs, nearly 8 kg crystalline drugs and many other items. 88% of the cases were successfully investigated.

Participants at the conference also discussed measures to effectively implement emulation movements in the remaining months of 2018 and fulfill all given tasks.
