Recently, Tuan was honored as one of twenty typical youth individuals of the General Department of Politics in 2015 for his great achievements in the Youth’s Union and in special operation, etc.
He grew up in a poor family in Phu Tho province. Since his father was sick in bed, Tuan often supports his mother in coordinating housework and in taking care of his two siblings.
Tuan’s father expressed his delight when Tuan intended to apply to National University of Civil Engineering in 2005. However, Tuan chose People’s Security Academy because he understood that his mother concerned about expensive fee in Hanoi.
Finally, Tuan has passed the entrance examination and studied in his ideal university with 28.5 points. During 5 years studying in Academy, Tuan participated in many volunteering trips organized by the Youth's Union. He got chances to approach poor people and to encourage children to live positively. Those experiences did help him to accelerate his youthful enthusiasm.

After graduated, Tuan teaches at the University of Logistics Techniques of Public Security (ULPS). As a Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union, Tuan actively promotes its activities, contributing to the development of studying and researching movement.
By his own experiences and those of predecessors, a research team was established by Tuan, the key members of the Youth Union and other branches. Under Tuan's guidance, the Youth Union of ULPS has been awarded top prizes, especially the Minister of Public Security has granted the Youth Union the second prize in the contest of the Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and a State-level consolation prize. Moreover, Tuan achieved a number of university-level prize thanks to his effective teaching methods at the university.
Tuan is the leader of some important and practical research topics for the Youth Union's members such as: "Improvement of the capacity for the Youth Union's members in academies and schools of public security"; "Prevention of social network's negative impacts for students in academies and schools of public security", etc. In addition, he also contributed to the compilation of the book namely "The formation and development of the University of Logistics Techniques of Public Security 1945 - 2010".
