Environmental Police Department reviews operations in first half

The Department of Environmental Police under the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) organized a conference on July 8 to review its working performance in the first 6 months and roll out working plans for the remaining months of 2020.

According to reports at the conference, the Environmental Police Department has implemented drastically plans and measures to prevent and combat crimes related to environment, natural resources and food safety. 

It also launched campaigns to suppress the crime during the Lunar New Year holiday 2020. Since the beginning of the year, the environmental police force has quickly detected and handled violations of the environmental laws, and effectively responded to environmental incidents of public concern and violations related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

At the Conference, Major General Tran Minh Le, Director of the Department, thoroughly explained the content and conclusions of Minister Lam's direction at the conference to review the Public Security Forces’ task performances in the first 6 months of 2020.

Delegates at the event also discussed the draft report summarizing the force’s working results in the first 6 months, as well as directions and tasks for the last 6 months of the year.

On this occasion, the department leadership presented awards to various individuals and teams for their outstanding achievements in the “For National Security” movement in the period of 2015-2020.
