Fallen mobile police officer posthumously promoted to a higher rank

According to the Department of Personnel Organization under the Ministry of Public Security, on the morning of March 4th, Minister of Public Security General Luong Tam Quang had approved the proposal of the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Police Department to posthumously promote Corporal Nguyen Ngoc Minh Nhat to Senior Sergeant.

Delegations from the Provincial Police Department and the local government burn incense and pay tribute to fallen Senior Sergeant Nguyen Ngoc Minh Nhat.

Corporal Nguyen Ngoc Minh Nhat was an enlistee of the Mobile Police Command who died while doing his duty.

Alongside the rank promotion, the Minister of Public Security and the President of the Management Board of the People's Public Security Forces’ Comradeship Fund signed a decision on support for the Corporal Nhat's family.

Previously, on March 3, 2025, Corporal Nguyen Ngoc Minh Nhat, born in 2001, an enlistee working at the Mobile Police Division of the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Police Department laid down his life while trying to control a subject fighting against law enforcement officials on duty.

On the evening of March 3, a delegation from the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Police Department led by Senior Colonel Vu Nhu Ha, Director of the Provincial Police Department, along with the fallen policeman’s comrades and representatives from the local government and mass organizations, visited and expressed their deepest condolences to the family of Corporal Nguyen Ngoc Minh Nhat.

Senior Sergeant Nguyen Ngoc Minh Nhat.

Corporal Nguyen Ngoc Minh Nhat joined the police force in February 2024 and worked at the Mobile Police Division under the Ba Ria-Vung Tau Provincial Police Department stationed in Vung Tau city.

He lived with his mother, a small free trader, and his family has no home and has to stay at his grandmother's house.

Under the Minister of Public Security’s approval, on March 4, 2025, the Director of the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Police Department signed a decision to promote Corporal to Senior Sergeant for his bravery while doing his duty to ensure public order and safety.

On the same day, President of the Management Board of the People's Public Security Forces’ Comradeship Fund and Minister Luong Tam Quang signed a decision to support the fallen enlistee’s family with VND 100 million.
