"Fatherland-recognized credit" Certificate granted to 6 martyrs in Dak Lak

On June 12, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang signed a decision on granting the "To Quoc ghi cong" (The Fatherland Acknowledges the Merit) certificate to four officers of the Ministry of Public Security and two officials of Dak Lak province who were killed in the attacks.

Captain Ha Tuan Anh was among the six fallen police officers in the attack.

Among the six fallen, four martyrs are police officers, namely: Major Hoang Trung, working at police post in Ea Ktur commune, Cu Kuin district, Dak Lak (coming from Nghi Thu ward, Cua Lo town, Nghe An province), Major Tran Quoc Thang, working at police post in Ea Tieu commune, Cu Kuin district, Dak Lak (coming from Thach Binh commune, Thach Ha district, Ha Tinh province), Captain Ha Tuan Anh, working at police post in Ea Tieu commune, Cu Kuin district, Dak Lak province (coming from Dong Loi commune, Trieu Son district, Thanh Hoa province), Captain Nguyen Dang Nhan, working at police post in Ea Ktur commune, Cu Kuin district, Dak Lak (coming from Tan Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district, Nghe An province).

The two civilian martyrs are: Martyr Nguyen Van Kien, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of Ea Ktur commune, Cu Kuin district, Dak Lak province (coming from Lien Nghia commune, Van Giang district, Hung Yen province) and Martyr Nguyen Van Dung, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ea Tieu Commune, Cu Kuin District, Dak Lak Province (coming from Hung Tien commune, Nam Dan district, Nghe An province).

On June 13, a delegation of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union led by the committee's Secretary and President of the Vietnam Students’ Association (VSA) Nguyen Minh Triet presented and post-humously awarded the Brave Youth badge to five police officers who were killed or wounded in the attacks.

Politburo member and Minister of Public Security General To Lam signed a decision to posthumously promote the ranks of the four police officers killed in the attacks.

The ministry granted 100 million VND (4,300 USD) each in aid to the four dead officers' families and 50 million VND each to the two officers injured during the attacks.

Three days after the gun attacks targeting the headquarters of the People’s Committees of Ea Tieu and Ea Ktur communes of Cu Kuin district, the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak, normal activities have resumed in the localities with ensured security thanks to the efforts of authorized forces.

During the attacks, which took place on early June 11 morning, gunmen killed and injured a number of communal police officers, communal cadres, and civilians, causing insecurity among the local community.

According to Spokesman of the Ministry of Public Security Lieut. Gen. To An Xo, on the night of June 13, a suspect turned himself in. To date, 46 suspects in the attacks have been detained.
