Female police officers volunteer to work at communal police posts in Tay Ninh

PSNews - The Provincial Police Department of Tay Ninh has deployed professional police officers to communal police posts under the project of the Ministry of Public Security on reinforcing the commune-level police force.

Of the newly-posted police officers, four female officers have volunteered themselves to work at communal police posts.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thi Ngoc Yen, Head of Communal Police Post of Thai Binh, Chau Thanh district, is one of the four policewomen. She said that she has to conduct patrols in night shifts to ensure security and order in the locality.

Although she has worked there for a short time, she has faced dangerous situations. For instance,  on December 31, 2019, Yen and her colleagues raided an apartment owned by a subject named Le Quoc Tri, 32. They discovered various knives, swords of all kinds.

The police officers seized all the weapons and transferred the exhibits and suspect to the Chau Thanh District Police Station.

Major Nguyen Thi Hong Van, Head of the Police Post of Thanh Phuoc commune, Go Dau district, said she has been under great pressure as a female police chief. Furthermore, there is a Methadone center for addicts next to a local school in the commune. So she has to always keep an eye on the addicts and tries to keep the students away from the addicts.

Senior Colonel Nguyen Van Trai, Director of Tay Ninh Provincial Police Department said that the provincial police have so far deployed 117 professional police officers to communal posts to take various positions.

In addition to Yen and Van, the two other female police officers are Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thi Kim Phung, Head of the Communal Police Post of Long Thuan, Ben Cau district, and Lieutenant Colonel Doan Thi Truc Giang, Head of the Communal Police Post of An Tinh, Trang Bang district. All of them have met a lot of difficulties and hardships as the communes within their responsibilities are all crime hotspots. But they have all successfully fulfilled their missions.

At the meeting to review task performance of the Provincial Police Department on January 10, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Ngoc, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee of Tay Ninh, recognized and applauded the efforts and achievements of the female police officers.
