Fire Police University starts academic year

Hanoi – Fire Police University organized opening ceremony of 2016-2017 academic year.

Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Member of Central Party Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security attended the event.

The ceremony also saw participation of representatives from different functional agencies under the MPS, Ministry of Education and Training, Academies and Colleges of Public Security, etc.

Delivering the opening speech, Major General Nguyen Manh Ha, rector of the Fire Police University stressed in the 2016-2017 academic year, all teachers and students will try their utmost to accomplish assigned tasks.

The university will continue to expand scope of training, diversify subjects and types of training.

It is expected to further improve quality of training through better teaching methods and scientific research.

During the last academic year, the university achieved important merits in terms of teaching and training, including high ranks in various teaching competition at all levels. Various teachers and students had been honored by the General Department of Public Security Politics.

Speaking on behalf of leaders of MPS, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh recognized and highly appreciated all efforts by the university, welcomed achievements in terms of training, educating and studying in the past time.

It is also important to note that the Fire Police University had enjoyed rapid development in various fields, including scientific research and international cooperation.

The Vice Minister required the university to further renovate training and education activities in the 2016-2017 academic year, contributing to development of the Fire Police force in the future.

He also took this opportunity to honor the university with the Fatherland Defense Order by State President.
