Fire Prevention and Fighting University and People’s Police University open new academic year

PSNews – The Fire Prevention and Fighting University organized a ceremony on September 29 to open its new academic year.

The event saw the presence of Senior Lieutenant General Bui Van Nam, Member of the Party Central Committee, and Deputy Minister of Public Security.

Delivering his speech at the ceremony, Senior Colonel Le Quang Bon, Rector of the university highlighted that, during the previous academic year, the Party organization and the leaders, teachers and students of the university made continuous efforts to excellently fulfil all given tasks.

The university well conducted political education for officers, teachers and students. In the previous academic year, the university enrolled in 4,000 new students and opened 9 training courses for office-level chiefs of the fire prevention and fighting police force.

Thanks to the achievements gained in the 2017-2018 academic year, 2 units of the university were presented with the “Excellent Emulation Flag” by the Ministry of Public Security and 3 other units received “Excellent Emulation Flag” from the General Department of Politics of the Public Security Forces while a large number of groups and individuals were awarded various titles and medals.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam recognized and applauded the achievements gained by the university as well as groups and individuals of the university in the past academic year, and expressed his hope that the university would overcome all difficulties and obtain more achievements in the 2018-2019 academic year.

The People’s Police University on September 29 also organized a ceremony to open its new academic year.

Major General Trinh Van Thanh, Rector of the university revealed that the university successfully fulfilled all given missions in the previous academic year. According to him, the university’s achievements originated from leaders of the MPS’s due care, effective supports from various police units and localities, as well as the efforts of all officers, teachers and students of the university.

In the previous academic year, the university was awarded the “Excellent Emulation Flag” and various other titles by the MPS. Particularly, the university was presented with the SENA Friendship Medal by the Kingdom of Cambodia.
