Firefighters up all night to fight fire

PSNews-60 fire police were running risks at an on-fire incense manufacturing facility at night to fight the fire to minimize property losses.

“This fire incident is so strange”, said Senior Colonel Duong Thanh Binh, Head of the Fire Police of Gia Lai, as it caused much trouble to the fighters though it was not a big one.

The fire broke out at an incense production facility. It was hard to fight fire as a good deal of smoke and dust came out from the fire. With a high sense of responsibility, the local fire police force did a good deed, successfully putting out the fire and minimizing possible losses while ensuring absolute human safety.

Earlier in the morning of May 2, a fierce fire broke out at Bon Huong-an incense production facility, in Truong Chinh Str, Ia Sao Commune, Ia Grai District.

The Fire Police deployed 6 fire engines and 60 firefighters to the scene. According to some firefighters, in the beginning, the fire flared up as the workshop had a lot of inflammable materials: wood, glue and oil.

After more than two hours, the fire was basically controlled and at 7 am the next morning, the fire was completely extinguished.

Fire investigators revealed that the 10,000 m2 workshop, owned by Dinh Huong (62), had not met the fire prevention and fighting requirements. Although the workshop had contained flammable materials, it had not had standard firefighting equipment nor been connected to a water source.
