Firefighting and rescue drill takes place in Lam Dong province

PSNews – The Lam Dong Provincial Fire Police on Sartuday held a firefighting and rescue drill at the Lam Dong Provincial Administrative Center.

According to the assumed scenario, a flame started from Room 204, 2nd Floor of a building of the Lam Dong Provincial Administrative Center due to a power failure. The flame then rapidly caught the furniture and other flammable materials in the room and became a big fire spreading other places of the building.

When the fire was detected by security guards, it was out of control. The security staffs quickly alerted the whole center and informed relevant forces of the incident for assistance. At the same time, they instructed residents to run off the building.

Shortly after being informed of the case, the Lam Dong Provincial Fire Police sent three fire engines, two vehicles mounted ladder, a rescue vehicle, a tanker and an ambulance as well as 200 firefighters to the scene. The fire police officers then quickly learnt the situation, collaborated with on-site forces in evacuating people, rescuing victims stuck inside and extinguishing the fire.

After 15 minutes working hard and effectively, the fire was completely extinguished.

The exercise took place exactly as planned, meeting all requirements and objectives.

The Lam Dong Provincial Administrative Center is a 12 floor building with a total floor area of nearly 47,000 square meters, located in area precinct of over 40,000 m². It embraces 19 department-level agencies and 24 other subordinate units, and some 1,400 officials and workers work in there.
