Gratitude journey of MPS reaches Quang Nam

On the occasion of the 70th Day for Wounded Soldiers and Martyrs, Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Minister of Public Security made a gratitude journey on July 10, to Quang Nam.

This program also drew the participations of Senior Lieutenant General Le The Tiem, former Deputy Minister of Public Security; Lieutenant General Chau Van Man, Hero of the People's Armed Forces, former Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics and representatives of the Quang Nam Provincial Police, Quang Ngai Provincial Police and Da Nang Municipal Police.

In the morning, the delegation offered flowery wreaths and incense at the security zone 5 relic, the Memorial Hall of President Ho Chi Minh in the campus of the Traditional House of the security zone V relic and the Tra My Martyrs' Cemetery in Bac Tra My district.

The public security delegation paid a visit and presented gifts to the Center for national contributors in Quang Nam province on July 10 afternoon. 

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son stated that Quang Nam and Da Nang are two localities suffering great losses in the struggle for national liberation. Therefore, the public security forces always focus on caring for policy families and national contributors.

On behalf of the leadership of the Public Security Ministry, Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son presented VND 50 million to the center as well as VND 50 million for wounded soldiers under treatment at the center.

The sum coming from the Comradeship Fund of the Ministry of Public Security showed respect of all public security forces for wounded soldiers and national contributors.

The center also received VND 10 million from the Quang Nam Provincial Police and VND 10 million the Da Nang Municipal Police.

Additionally, the delegation also visited and handed over gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Le Thi Kieu (94 years old, Van Lang hamlet, Cam Thanh commune, Hoi An city). She is a mother of 2 martyrs, of whom one worked as a police officer.
