Ha Nam Police cooperates with schools to reduce traffic offences

PSNews – The Provincial Police Department of Ha Nam and the Provincial Department of Education and Training on September 25 signed a cooperation plan in ensuring traffic order and safety and public order in the period of 2018-2023.

The signing ceremony saw the presence Mr. Truong Quoc Huy, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee of Ha Nam.

Over the past 3 years, the Provincial Police of Ha Nam has closely coordinated with the Department of Education and Training to promote information and education of traffic order and safety and public order for students. As a result, the students have been more aware of traffic regulations and public order; and the number of traffic offences and accidents involving students have witnessed a sharp decrease in this period compared with the previous years.

In order to further promote cooperation in ensuring traffic order and safety and public order in the province, particularly safety for students, leaders of the two departments agreed to focus on several contents of the cooperation plan. Particularly, the two sides will regularly exchange information on students’ observance of traffic safety and order regulations, public order so as to promptly evaluate the situation and review the implementation of the plan.

The two agencies will also organize training courses for teachers and members of self-managed organizations to improve their knowledge of rules related to traffic order and safety and public order, as well as promote dissemination of laws in schools with various interesting forms while increasing patrols and strictly handling students’ violations of traffic order and safety and public order regulations to raise their awareness of observance of the laws.
