The event was attended by Major General Phan Van Lai, Hero of the Armed Forces, former Chief Inspector, former Deputy Director of General Department of Politics, Ministry of Public Security; Mr. Nguyen Xuan Dong, Deputy Secretary of the Ha Nam Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee.
At the meeting, delegates acknowledged that, in the last 72 years, under the direct leadership in all aspects of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Central Party Committee of Public Security, the MPS as well as the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People's Committee, and thanks to the supports of the people, the Ha Nam Police with their great effort have always successfully fulfilled their missions, contributing to the building of a richer and more civilized province of Ha Nam.
Leaders of the Provincial Police always pay special attention to and consider Party building and force building as a key task. The Provincial Police continuously promoted the implementation of campaigns, emulation movements, directives and resolutions of the central and provincial agencies. Many organizations and individuals have worked hard and stood out as models and examples in the force.

On the field of national security, with the motto of “active security”, the Ha Nam police force actively prevented, detected and defeated all kinds of conspiracy and reactionary moves of hostile forces. The police force of Ha Nam also neutralized many acts of sabotage conducted by members of the terrorist organization of Viet Tan as well as other political opportunists.
At the meeting, authorized by the State President, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Dong, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee presented the Third Class Order of Feat of Arms to Senior Colonel Nguyen Van Trung, Director of the Provincial Police and Senior Colonel Pham Hoai Nam, Deputy Director of the Provincial Police for their outstanding achievements and contributions to the cause of building the socialist country. He also awarded the Fatherland Defense Orders of Third Class, Glorious Soldier Medals and State President's certificates of merit to 20 police officers; awarded the Certificates of Merit by the Prime Minister and Minister of Public Security to 4 groups, 8 individuals. 5 officers were also honored as prominent emulators of the force.
On this occasion, the Provincial Police held a ceremony to open its Tradition Chamber in contribution to political education of young police officers.
