Ha Nam Provincial Police review task performance

PSNews - The Provincial Police Department of Ha Nam organized a conference on January 3 to review its task performance in 2019 and roll out its working plans for 2020.

Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Deputy Minister of Public Security, attended and delivered a remark at the event.

The conference also saw the presence of Ms. Le Thi Thuy, Secretary of the Ha Nam Provincial Party Committee.

According to reports, the Provincial Police Department drew up and implemented 158 plans to ensure security and safety for various important political events as well as 54 working visits by Party and State leaders, international delegates during 2019. Particularly, the police forces of Ha Nam ensured absolute safety and security for the UN Day of Vesak 2019.

The provincial police forces successfully investigated over 81 percent of the criminal cases, but 100 percent of the serious cases was solved. At the same time, the local police successfully handled 91.8 percent of crime denunciations and reports, contributing to reducing 3.1% of the crime cases.

For its achievements, the Provincial Police Department of Ha Nam was awarded the Emulation Flag by the Ministry of Public Security 239 awards at various levels and over 1,000 other awards were bestowed on units and individuals at the Provincial Police Department.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh urged the Provincial Police Department to closely follow and implement the action plans and strive to ensure order and security in the province. He also asked the local police to particularly focus on cyber security, security in religious, ethnic areas and social security.

He also noted the importance of taking basic professional approaches and enhancing State management over security and order, especially management of immigration.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh asked the Provincial Police Department to promptly launch operations to suppress crimes and ensure security and order for the upcoming Traditional New Year festival and the spring festivals.
